The Birmingham Whisky Club celebrate Burns’ Night Birmingham style
The Birmingham Whisky Club, the city’s only dedicated whisky-tasting events company, is to celebrate Burns’ Night with a very special whisky and food matching event. In a unique Birmingham take on a traditional Burns’ Night supper, held annually on 25th January in celebration of the life and works of the Scottish poet Robert Burns, the club will host a four-course whisky-matched dinner catered for by local chef Carl Finn of the Soul Food Project, complete with readings of Burns’ poetry by Adrian Johnson, Birmingham’s Poet Laureate in 2009 – 2010.
Hosted at Birmingham’s oldest pub, the historic Old Crown in Digbeth on Friday 25th January, guests will have the opportunity to sample a wide range of Scottish whiskies, each carefully selected and paired with an element of the meal and introduced by expert Craig Mills, Manager of The Whisky Shop.
