Pay- Starting at £23-25K depending on experience and bonus

Job description – 

Peel & Stone is an Artisan Bakery hidden away in the arches behind Snow Hill Station in the Jewelry Quarter. The Bakery is the powerhouse behind a multi faceted business, including wholesale bread, sandwich shop and bakery, mobile pizzeria, event catering and a restaurant. The role of Head Baker is to not only be able bake high quality, slowly fermented breads but manage and coordinate the production of various baked goods and their delivery to our other sites. We are a young, creative and dynamic team and are looking for an individual who is both organised and flexible in order to deal with the sporadic events throughout our calendar. We work very hard to create unique and exciting events and require a baker who is ambitious and passionate in order to make our ideas a reality.

What we ask you to have: 

•     The ability to legally work in the UK

•     Be over 18 years old

•     Work 5 nights a week (start and finish times can be flexible)

•     Full understanding of the English language

•     Ability to create high quality, slowly fermented bread.

•     Previous experience as Head Baker

•     An eye for detail in both cleaning and presentation.

•     Experience in food service and late night trade

•     Massive personality and a smile

•     BOH skills, experience with invoice systems

What you will be doing:

 

•     Working in a high pressure environment where only the best is good enough

•     Leading a strong passionate team of bakers and delivery team

•     Working from recipes to produce a range of breads free of additives or improvers

•     Preparing seasonal specials with fresh seasonal products

•     Keeping a clean bakery in line with company policy and EHO guide lines

•     Leading by example

•     Stock taking and control

•     Hiring and rota scheduling
